Imperium MUN is Chennai's premier Model United Nations conference, bringing together delegates from schools and colleges across the country for two days of rigorous debate, critical thinking, and collaborative diplomacy.

Imperium MUN 2026 is scheduled for May 30th and 31st, 2026, at the Institute of Venture Building, EA Chambers, 7th Floor, Express Avenue, Royapettah, Chennai.

The IPC covers the conference through two distinct tracks. IPJ delegates report on committee proceedings as journalists, crafting articles, editorials, and opinion pieces. IPP delegates document the conference visually as photojournalists. Both require separate registration forms — ensure you select the correct category. Submissions through the incorrect form will not be considered valid.

Delegations

Bring your
institution.

Imperium MUN 2026 accommodates three participation categories. Delegations of 15 or more are welcome from schools, colleges, and private groups. Contact our Delegate Affairs Team directly to initiate delegation registration.

Institutional Delegation

Schools and colleges registering as an official institutional delegation. Minimum 15 delegates. Competes in the Institutional award category.

Private Delegation

Groups not affiliated with a single institution. Minimum 15 delegates. Competes in the Private Delegation award category, separate from institutional delegations.

Individual Delegate

Delegates not affiliated with a delegation may register individually. Allotments based on committee preference, portfolio availability, experience, and Secretariat discretion.

Delegation Structure Requirements

Minimum of 15 delegates per delegation (institutional or private)
At least 2 delegates in each of the 5 main committees
At least 1 delegate in IPJ (Journalism/Reporting)
At least 1 delegate in IPP (Photojournalism)
No upper limit on delegation size
Only the Head Delegate fills the Delegation Registration Form
All individual delegates must also register individually
Each delegate must upload payment proof in their individual form
Institutional and Private Delegations compete in separate award categories
Double delegation permitted only in the League of Arab States
Policies & Guidelines

The registration fee for Imperium MUN 2026 is ₹1300 inclusive of all charges. Once payment is made, the registration fee is strictly non-refundable under any circumstances. Please ensure your availability before proceeding with payment.
  • Allotted portfolio is strictly personal and non-transferable once payment is made
  • No other delegate may take up your allotted spot by paying you privately
  • Internal transfers, substitutions, or informal exchanges of portfolios are strictly prohibited
  • Any such attempt may result in cancellation without refund
Portfolio allotments are made on a rolling basis. Factors considered include:
  • Committee preference (as submitted in the registration form)
  • Portfolio availability at the time of allotment
  • Delegate experience (number of MUNs attended, awards)
  • Secretariat discretion
Delegates are strongly encouraged to register early. Please carefully review the official Country Matrix before submitting your preferences. Incorrect or unavailable portfolio entries may affect allotment consideration.
Double delegation is permitted only in The League of Arab States. Delegates applying to the Arab League may register with a partner under the double delegation format.
  • Both delegates must fill out the registration form individually
  • Both delegates must clearly mention the name of their partner
  • Both delegates must provide their partner's institution, contact number, and email ID
  • All details must be entered accurately and consistently by both delegates to avoid discrepancies during allotments
Delegates opting for the International Press Corps must ensure they apply through the correct category form.
  • IPJ (Journalism/Reporting) and IPP (Photojournalism) have separate dedicated registration forms
  • Applicants must register through the respective form only
  • Please carefully verify the category before submitting
  • Submissions made through the incorrect form may not be considered valid

For delegates registering as part of a delegation, the following dual-process is mandatory:
  • Only the Head Delegate is required to fill out the Delegation Registration Form and attach the Delegation Format Sheet
  • However, all individual delegates must still register individually through the Individual Registration Form — this is mandatory for official records, allotments, and communication tracking
  • Each individual delegate must upload their payment confirmation in the Individual Registration Form
  • Delegation submission alone will not be considered complete without individual registrations
